Renovation
After purchasing the chateau in 2016, the new owners – Mr. and Mrs. Bohdal, began to focus on its preservation and reconstruction. The reconstruction was financed from their own funds. A grant from EEA and Norway Grants was obtained for the reconstruction of the chapel with two adjacent rooms, the addition of the Orangery, the reconstruction of the Grotta, and the park pathways.
The reconstruction itself involved the entire chateau, including all interior spaces, facade, new electrical installations, sewage system, heating, window replacement, etc. The entire reconstruction was carried out based on historical and monument research, under the supervision of the Monument Board in Trnava. Currently, the revitalization of the park is still ongoing.
The vision for the future is to blend the historical and contemporary, Western and Eastern, cultural and technical – thinking, tradition, and life. In the future, the chateau and park are intended to serve not only for short-term relaxation experiences but also to provide opportunities for deep introspection and pause, supported by the healing power of nature.
